Slough Town welcome back winger James Dobson

Slough Town have announced the return to Arbour Park of James Dobson, a player who needs no introduction to Rebels supporters having played a key role in the side's recent rise to the National League South.

'Dobbo' has played for the Rebels in two previous spells, scoring goals and laying on assists as the club attained promotion through the play-offs to play National League South level football.

Often a key player on the big occasions, Dobson scored a crucial late equaliser as the Rebels knocked Sutton United out of the FA Cup on penalties in November 2018 to reach the second round of the competition.

His performances that season earned him a step up to the National League with Sutton in January 2019.

After spells at Dagenham & Redbridge and Ebbsfleet United he started last season at Hemel Hempstead Town but suffered a season-ending injury soon after the move.

Having now fully recovered he is back training and will link up with the Rebels squad at the end of the month for the start of pre-season.

Commenting on the move, Dobson said: “Really pleased to be joining back up with Slough Town again, great club and great fan base.

“Had some great memories and hopefully back to make some more.”
