Hallett to help grow and develop girls and women's section at Windsor RFC

Windsor RFC have brought in one of their former players, Kate Hallett, to help grow the girls’ and women’s section of the club.

Hallett played for the club’s Dames from its formation until 2017, when she left to play Premiership Rugby with Wasps.

Club chair Helen Crick said Hallett would bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the role and said the focus was on ‘developing a sustainable structure and pathway’ for women and girls to develop at Windsor.

She said: “This is a very positive development as it will provide clear focus in growing the women and girls’ section at Windsor.

“Kate has a wealth of experience as a player with the clubs above and Berkshire County, as well as forming and coaching the Damsels at Windsor RFC and coaching Berkshire’s u18s.

“The focus of this exciting new role will be to enhance and develop the existing offering for women and girls at Windsor, by establishing a sustainable structure and pathway for female players to enjoy and develop their rugby.

“As chair of women and girls’, Kate will work with the rugby and youth committees to unite and support the club’s vision for players, coaches and volunteers at Windsor RFC.

“I’m sure you will join us in welcoming Kate back to the club and wish her every success in this exciting new role.”
