Blustery conditions and fierce opposition failed to stop LVS School's under 14 rugby team coming out on top last week.
Pupils from the school in London Road, Ascot, emerged triumphant in the final of the Berkshire Schools County Cup on Wednesday.
The match played at Newbury Rugby Club saw the team overcome Maiden Erlegh at the end of a cup run that also saw them defeat Pangbourne College in the quarter final and St Bartholomew’s in the semi-final.
LVS scored three first half tries from Jonny Hill, Aljay Johnson and Terry Branwhite, making the half time score 15-3 to LVS.
Nicolas Quirot de Poligny crossed the try line to settle the contest with a final score of 20-18 to LVS.
The LVS Ascot team coach, John Percy, said: “This was a fantastic achievement from a group of players that have really pulled together over the last few months.”
